So this week was way awesome!!!

Hiiiiii :D

It started out with a lady in the ward calling us her angels :D That was definitely a great start to the week. 

Elder Richards family sent Peeps and he shared them with us :D

In this ward they have this activity every week "Noite de Amizade". Which is translated friendship night, but everyone in the ward is invited and we have a lesson or read scriptures and we all eat and talk and bring friends, it's just wonderful pretty much. Well this week it was at Tatiana and Amilton´s (Amilton was baptized a couple weeks ago) house and there were sooo many people there!! So we were planning the program beforehand and it was hilarious!! 

Elder Schwenger went up there to conduct and was announcing everything when he said, shoot, I knew I was forgetting something...it was the message!!! Ha, it was funny. So he asked bishop to give the message and Elder Schwenger gave a little thought before hand. It was great!!!! 

This same night I lost our phone...but then we found out it had fallen out of my purse in the car of a lady in the ward who had driven us home. So it´s all good haha. But since we had lost our phone we had no way of calling for lunch the next day and the Elders didn´t know we had lost our phone. Soooo, we decided to run to their house the next morning. It was a good run and they were really surprised when we "knocked" on their door haha.

We started teaching some AMAZING people this week!!! This lady Regina is really excited about the church but she wasn´t able to go to church on Sunday so she is going to go next week! But Virginia and her husband (I forget his name oops) loved the Book of Mormon, loved church and just love everything!!! She said this is the answer she has been waiting for! She is just so adorable! She came to church with a modest dress on! And yeah just perfect :D I love it! 

So this week I was also feeding a puppy milk out of a bottle but then it was drinking too fast and the milk starting coming out of its nose!!! Which could kill him cause he can´t breathe so Irmã Sabrina picked him up and did a chucking motion so the milk would come out of him. It seems like it had already happened before. But he was such a cute little puppy!!!!! But I´m just glad i didn´t kill it!!!!!!

OUR EASTER EGG!!!!!!!

So there´s this tradition in Brazil that for Easter everyone buys these huge chocolate eggs that have stuff in the inside. So Tatiana and Amilton gave us one!!!! Ohhhh we were so excited we took so many pictures!! Don´t mind my crazy hair haha 

Alsoooo it has been raining like all this week so it was cooler and it was wonderful, rain is like blessing literally pouring down on us :D

There was this beautiful rainbow out our window this morning!!!!!

Something very interesting that a speaker said in church yesterday is that our life is like a video game. We go through these hard trials, there levels of life and then we overcome it. We win the level. But then the next level is harder. I feel like in life sometimes we want it to just get easier. But that´s not how it works. Sometimes it feels easier, but that´s because we are stronger. The Lord doesn´t lighten our load, he strengthens us so it feels lighter. So as we go through life there are going to be hard trials, and it may get harder and it may seem like we can´t make it through, but we can!! We have our Lord who will always help us. We have our family, our ward family. There are so many people who want to help us we just have to look around.

Hiiii :D

So this week was interesting. I was in and out of being sick so we were inside a bunch which really throws off life cause you are just stuck inside to sleep and study. It was good but interesting. Then the Elders were being super nice and brought us fruit and candy to make me feel better!!!! What niceeee people haha. 

We tried this new fruit called caqui, i forgot the name in English but it looks like a tomato but it tastes more like a peach nectarine type thing, but it was good!!!! I forgot my camera gadget thingy to put pictures on the computer so I'll send some next week!!!!

We got to watch women´s conference finally this week!!! It was great! If you haven't had a chance yet, watch it!! You won´t regret it!

Last week we had a surprise party for Elder Pradera cause he goes home either today or tomorrow. He left yesterday for Santos it was so sadd to see him leave!!! But he has served his two years and it´s time for him to go home to his family!!! But the party was thrown by the ward and it was so cute and funn!!! And there was good food! It was just a good night! 

Then Friday night Amilton got baptized!!!! We´ve been working with the family, it´s been the Elders and sometimes us, depending on the day. But the baptism was soo spiritual!! Like it was just amazing. We sang and a guy from the ward played the guitar. Then at the end Amilton bore his testimony and it was amazing his wife started to cry and he was talking about being able to be sealed next year (they got married last week) and it was just wonderful!!!!!! Pictures next week!!

We are still working with Keila´s family, but she isn't married and she just started working Sundays but her kids have been coming to church so that's good!!! And her daughter whose 9 got up at testimony meeting and bore her testimony so that was amazing!!! She was so cute!!! 

Sooooooo, last night we were at Amilton's house having dinner and then a cockroach flew into the kitchen and so i named it Thomas cause of course it needs a name. And then his daughter ran out of the room and then i was trying to catch it and then he landed on my skirt...and then crawled in the top of it...so i ran outside and untucked my shirt but nothing happened. So I'm like oh he didn't go in. So I went back in the kitchen but he wasn´t there. So I went into the bathroom just to make sure he wasn't in my clothes, and he was.....so now I can say I had a cockroach in my shirt/skirt. Check that off my bucket list!!!! haha it was funny though. They all were shocked that I didn´t freak out or anything, I was just calm the whole time. Daddy are you proud of me :D haha

So Easter is on Sunday!!! I love this time of the year!! It´s just soo amazing. We get to remember Easter every Sunday when we partake of the sacrament, but this is a special time that we have to remember it. Awesome right/???? I have always loved this time of the year!!! And Sister Cabral has been giving us a bunch of things to study as we come up to Easter, so yeah. It´s just like a spiritual feast :D gotta love those!!!!

Hiiii!!!

lunch at a members house!!! Elder Pradera goes home next week

So this week was way good!!!!

 

Our Ward mission leader made us a Brazilian barbeque!!! It was way good and fun! And he has a pool table so we played before it was all ready!!!

 

I learned that puzzle in Portugese is quebra cabeça which translates to break head...haha kinda funny right?????

 

SO Friday was my 20th birthday...I'm not a teenager anymore! Isn´t that CRAZY!!! I feel like i just was old enough to go to girls camp!!!!! Anywho, we had a zone meeting that day and they made a little surprise party for me!!! It was so nice and cute of them!!! We had cake and juice and goodness :D And then our Zone meeting was way good!!! But partly through, Elder Justesen got a call from president and he learned his visa expired that day. It was exactly 2 years since he had been on his mission, but he wasn't gonna leave until tranfers, but he had to leave that day before midnight. He got to be home for conference which is awesome!!! But yeah he´s cool!!!! It was just kinda shocking!!! But it was a good day!!!

 

A recent convert Vanessa said she had a dream about going on a mission!! Isn´t that awesome!!! We are helping her prepare :D

 

Keila is awesome she is reading the Book of Mormon a lot!!! But she started working everyday until like 10 at night, so we are trying to find times to meet with her and her family.

 

So conference. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! SO a weird thing I noticed, on my mission conference goes by way faster. So i have always liked conference, but all of us american missionaries were sitting in a room to listen in English and then we sat down and then all of a sudden it was over. And now it´s Monday...I seriously feel like conference just started!!! But it was sooo good!!! I cant wait to read all the talks again!!! I loved President Uchtdorf´s talk on endings and how we are sad because we are made of eternal stuff. Such a different perspective right:???? I just love all the prophets and apostles because they just help us have a completely different perspective on life and everything!!! SO I could talk about all the talks but i didn't bring all my notes, and the talks themselves are better than my notes. But if you haven't yet, I ask that you listen to general conference. The sessions were amazing and they can help any and every person with whatever difficulty they have at the time! Yayyyyyy :D

 

Well that´s all I remember right now haha :D
