RAIN RAIN RAIN and more RAIN

HIIIIIS :D
Elder Schwenger and the broken umbrella
So this week was good!!!!! It rained all week!!!!!! It was chilly (miracle) and I got to use my rain coat :D yayayyayayayayayayayayyy

We are teaching this girl Eloisa who is just amazing!! She is completely ready to be baptised and she already accepted and she is super excited, but then she had to go to São Paulo yesterday with her family. So we are going to keep working with her this week. But she is so cute and amazing. She is 19 and we were talking about her concerns and she said that Joseph Smith was the thing she prayed the most about and she already received her answer that he was a prophet of God!!! Her other concern was that she wouldn´t be able to pay tithing cause she doesn´t have a job right now. We explained that you only pay when you get money! She is living at home and going to school, so she doesn´t earn money, she understood and she is excited!!!!

I drew this picture...and then the elders came

Our other investigators are good but we are seeing how there progress is going!!!!!

So there were a couple funny things that happened this week.

THIS HUGE BLACK DOG we found!!!!!

My companion walked into a cement garbage can thingy that is at eye level for me and she bumped her head really bad. But she turned and saw my face and started laughing!!
I´m glad people can laugh at my face ;D but I put some Nature´s Fusions magic on that HUGE bump and it was gone in 1 day!!! MIRACLES!!! AND OILS!!!! :D

There were 2 babies born in the ward this week and we had lunch with both of the mom´s haha. I asked each of them the day before how they were feeling and yeah I pretty much predicted that the baby would come. Haha we had to switch lunches but the babies are sooo cute!! Both little boys!!!!!

One of the little newbies has an older brother and he is 3 years old and he wanted to hold his little brother all by him self!!! He says that he is his little brother´s papai which means daddy. And it is sooo funny!!!! He was talking to him and he was telling his grandma that he could hold him all alone because "eu sou papai, viu?" haha it was hilarious!!!!!

I love you all
Sister Peterson

MY COMPANION :D SIster Fernandez

OUR PET LIZARD!!!!! I named him Jake

I made this invention cause i had to use like 3 different plugs and i thought all the weight was gonna break the walll!!!!!
This conversation with God that everyone has in their house, it is actually really cool!!!!

PERU!!!!

Soooo we got the transfer calls last week and Sister Dalton got transferred :/ BUT, she´s in Mongaguá!!! My first area! So I will see her every week at Zone meeting!!!! My new companion is Sister Fernandez and she is from Peru!!!! Isn´t that exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is awesome and I just noticed I don´t have a picture with her yet, I´ll send one next week!!!
Sister Dalton and her New companion and I at Sisters Conference!!!!
So there is this guy Antonio that we were working with like 2 months ago but he couldn´t get baptized cause he wasn´t married and his "wife" didn´t want to get married. She was pregnant at the time. Well last Sunday they lost their baby after being alive for only 3 days. It was a really sad time. But Lizandra is really positive. She wants to be a better person and a better mom now for her other children. So she stopped fighting with Antonio and now she wants to get married!! Sometimes we don´t understand why things happen, but the Lord knows everything. If we just put our trust and faith in Him, everything will work out, maybe not the way we want it to be, but the way it needs to be.

We had our first Sisters Conference on Friday!! It was so much fun!! I loved it :D We learned so much about faith and taking care of ourselves and being the women that the Lord wants us to be. Sister Dalton and I also sang a song!! It was way fun!!!!!

Our castle :D
We have matching shirts!! Last night together!
We went to visit this inactive on Thursday and no one was home. So we went back Saturday and the lady said we had left a card for them!!! It was one of the cartõe de amizade...i forget how to say it in english, but we hadn´t left it. Apparently the Elders had!! Crazy right??? Well we are going to go back this week to teach her Siliva and her Husband!! She seems really nice and I am excited!!!

So we are teaching this lady Regina and she is so ready to be baptized, she just needs to go to church. So on Sunday we went to walk with her and her friend had just called her to ask her to take her to the hospital.....so she couldn´t come to church. But that´s okay. We will keep working with her!!!!

This week was good and I´ve been learning so much!! We really have to have faith. And truly have faith we have to act too. Something interesting that I´ve learned is that if we are disobedient or not doing all we can, we are showing to the Lord that we don´t have faith. But I know I have faith, so I need to be obedient, I want Him to be able to trust me.

I hope you have a wonderful week!!

Waiting and waiting and waiting

We are still waiting for transfer calls. Transfers are tomorrow so we will see. It should be interesting cause we have appointments tonight and if we get transferred we have to pack. I'm almost positive one of us is going to get transferred so we will see.
this really cool car thingy haha
I also gave a talk yesterday!! it was good but I guess I talk just as fast in Portuguese as I do in English, need to work on that haha.So this week was interesting but good!!!

Tuesday we had zone conference with our zone and Praia Grande but part way through we rescheduled it for Thursday. So we all went home. It was kinda strange. But then for the conference on Thursday it was so amazing!! We learned so much about faith and how if we aren´t obedient we are showing that we don't have faith. Also that Faith is the first thing we need. If we don´t have faith we aren´t going to have miracles, and as a missionary, you need miracles!! We also sang a song a special musical number in our zone, Firm in the Faith and I played the piano. It is such a pretty song and it went really well!!!!

waiting for the talent show to starttt

waiting for the talent show to starttt
We found this lady Kakau and she is amazing. She wants to get baptized, she just has to get married first. But she literally is amazing. So we had planned to have a Talent Show in our ward on Friday and just everything was going wrong. It was raining so people didn´t come, the people who said they were going to come didn´t show up, but Sister Dalton and I were there and getting everything ready anyways. Then we had all of 4 members show up. We waited about 45 minutes and then Elder Schwenger and I decided to just give a message and sing a couple songs. Then Kakau showed up with her son. Elder Schwenger gave a message and then afterwards he asked if anyone wanted to say anything, she bore her testimony saying that she knows this is the right path and it was just amazing. So even though it didn´t turn out as we planned it still turned out the way she needed it!!!

Then on Saturday we visited Ana Paula!!! SHE SPEAKS ENGLISH. Fluently it´s just amazing. She has a little bit of a Jersey accent and it´s just wonderful haha. She is so cute!!! We also stopped by on Sunday quickly to visit her cause her kids couldn´t come for Mother´s day. She is so nice and awesome!!! She really wants to come back to church, so we are working with her!!!!

Well I learned this week a lot about faith. Faith in the Talent Show even though there was no one there when we were supposed to start, and just faith that everything will work out. It reminds me of general conference. I forgot who said it, but they were asking the prophet about a problem and he just said, "oh, everything will work out" I want to have that much faith that I truly believe that everything will work out.

love you all!!
Sister Peterson

we´ve seen soo many rainbows these past days, its beautiful!

Sabrnia is the cutest little girl who comes to church every sunday aloneeee, no one else in her family comes. She´s 11 and she´s such an inspiration to me :D

Talk about Elect :D

We went to some rocks by the beach and took pictures!! Yayyyy and sooo pretty!!!!!.
Hiiiii :D

So this week has been AMAZING to say the least.

We had interviews with President this week and they were really good!!!! We were laughing really hard during mine. Hehe. But since we were in Santos we got our package!!!! So i got my birthday stufff :D yayyyyy I love gummy worms and chocolate covered raisins :D hehe my family knows me so well!! Thanks guys :D

On Friday night we had Noite de Amizade again and it was great!!!!!!! They made like a billion pasteis and Sister Dalton and I sang a special musical number!!! It was "Abide with Me" and right beforehand I learned to play it on the guitar!!!! It turned out pretty well i´d say!!!!!

VIRGINIA`S BAPTISM!!!! yaya she´s soo cute!!!!!
Okay so Virginia!!!! We found her not this last Thursday but the one before. So we taught her then on Sunday we went to go walk with her and her husband Elvandir to church. So she had already read parts of the Book of Mormon and she loved it. She had already prayed and she said that it was the answer she was searching for!!! Then she came to church and I asked her afterwards if she liked it and she said no, I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 AHHHHH But then she was busy until Tuesday so we visited her then. She doesn´t drink or smoke or drink coffee or tea (EVERYONE in brazil drinks coffee) and she got married last year (practically no one here is married. there are people with 5 full grown children and still not married....) So she was just perfect!! We invited her to be baptized on Saturday and she was!!!!! Then she was confirmed on Sunday and it was just beautiful. After the confirmation she had teary eyes!! She is just so she is wonderful!!!!

It makes me think how many people are there like Virginia who are just waiting for someone to show them the path?? That the Lord has already prepared?? And are waiting for you or for me??? We really need to look around and share the gospel with our friends. Share the thing that gives us the most joy. Share the knowledge that we can live with our families forever!!!!!

We also found an inactive this week who speaks fluent English!! She was born in Brazil moved to the states when she was a baby and then moved back to Brazil when she was 17 and has been teaching English classes since. So she has a little Jersey accent. It´s so weird talking to someone in English haha. Her children are so awesome too!! They live in São Paulo but we are going to start working with her this next week!!!!!!
E. Smiskey baptized her and it was his first baptism!! He´s not from our area but he was on divisions and he had never baptized someone before so we invited him to! It was awesome :D
There was this really cool looking spider!! And Elder Richards wanted to be in the picture tooo haha

Something funny...I play the piano in church cause no one else knows how. So they wanted me to come to choir practice on Sunday and Sis. Dalton was trying to think of ways to get out of it. Soooo, she said that she had a great idea!!!! She would break my hands...then E. Schwenger said he would save her the trouble and he would break one of them...then E. Richards found a rock....haha wowww

The 4 of us in my area!!! This little girl was insistent in putting fake tattoos on all of our hands haha.

Our investigators have little cute bunnies :DDDD

Virginia´s husband has this huge knife and northern hat. So after the interview E. Schwenger decided to try them outt haha.

But it was a great week!!!!! We have other investigators that we are working with but I'll tell you about them next week!!!

So pictures!! I´ll explain. Real quick, all the pictures make everyone look super red, it´s fake, we are red, but not THAT red hahah :D

Love,
Sister Peterson

p.s. something funny. You know when you spell a word wrong and there is a red squiggly line underneath it??? Almost alllll of my words have read squiggly lines underneath them. I guess squiggly isn´t a word in portugese :/ hahahah
